About Us

ABOUT THE HOMELESSNESS IS NOT A CRIME CAMPAIGN
For more than 30 years, Project HOME has worked to end and prevent chronic street homelessness.
In 2024, the Grants Pass v. Johnson U.S. Supreme Court decision created a new crisis in that work, creating a “race to the bottom” as communities across the country consider criminal penalties for things like sleeping outside.
Grants Pass isn’t a mandate, it’s a choice.
We created the Homelessness Is Not A Crime campaign to call on all of us to do our part not to criminalize homelessness, and to respond to the crisis with real solutions.
A Growing Coalition
Over the years, Project HOME has forged deep and impactful partnerships with fellow nonprofits, visionary leaders and philanthropists, public and civic institutions, businesses, and committed advocates to further our work.
Our Homelessness Is Not A Crime campaign is supported by a diverse and growing number of individuals and groups committed to a better path forward in the fight against homelessness.
